United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested POSITIVE for the dreaded Coronavirus (or COVID-19), joining the long list of high-profile people who have been infected so far.
Confirming this via a video which he posted Twitter in which he confirmed that he has been infected by the virus, Johnson captioned it, "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this."

Boris Johnson, in his video message, also stressed upon the need to stay at home to fight the disease.
A Downing Street spokeswoman told The Guardian, "After experiencing mild symptoms yesterday, the Prime Minister was tested for coronavirus on the personal advice of England’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty. The test was carried out in No 10 by NHS staff and the result of the test was positive. In keeping with the guidance, the Prime Minister is self-isolating in Downing Street. He is continuing to lead the government’s response to coronavirus."

It is pertinent to mention here that there are more than 11,600 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK, and 578 people have died so far of infections. It comes after the Prince of Wales also tested positive for the virus earlier this week. Prince Charles, 71, is to be displaying mild symptoms "but otherwise remains in good health", a spokesman said.
