Coronavirus Death Toll Rises to 106, 4515 Cases Reported in China

New Delhi, January 28, 2020:

Coronavirus has led to the death of as many as 106 people in China as on Tuesday as the country is continuing to tighten its security measures to protect the public from the disease.

China’s national health commission has informed that 4,515 people have been infected as of January 27, up from 2,835 a day earlier.

The country has imposed travel restrictions and wearing masks in public has been made compulsory.

It may be mentioned here that the Coronavirus or 2019-nCoV is a new form of a virus that emerged from a seafood and animal market in the central city of Wuhan in China and soon spread across China and neighboring countries.

Three Indian citizens who had arrived from China, had been admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. According to hospital authorities, they had walked on their own with symptoms of cold and cough which is similar to the coronavirus outbreak.

In Kerala, more than 430 people are under observation. They had recently returned from China’s Wuhan.

Meanwhile, 45 Indian medical students at Jianghan University School of Medicine in Wuhan, have reportedly sought for immediate aid from Indian authorities. They, in turn, are planning to airlift the students from Wuhan. However, no official notification has been issued till now.
