Gunman attempts to hijack Dubai-bound plane in Bangladesh, emergency landing in Chittagong

Guwahati, February 24, 2019:

A gunman on Sunday attempted to hijack a Dubai-bound plane of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in Bangladesh. According to media reports, the suspect allegedly shot a cabin crew member and tried to storm the cockpit of the flight.

However, the pilot managed to carry out an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport in Bangladesh’s Chittagong.

The flight was on its way to Dubai from Dhaka via Chittagong. All passengers have disembarked the plane while the alleged gunman and two crew members are still onboard, reports said.
