Kami Rita Sherpa has scaled Mt. Everest for the 23rd time, by breaking her own record of reaching on the top of World’s highest peak.
Kami Rita Sherpa is a 49-year-old veteran Nepali Sherpa guide who achieved the record for climbing the most in Mt. Everest. Kami Rita is also the first person in the world to climb Mt. Everest for 22 times and is now the breaker of his own record after reaching the Mt. Everest for the 23rd time on May 23rd, 2019.
Reportedly, the Chairman at Seven Summit Treks mentioned that Kami Rita Sherpa from Thame Village of Solukhumbu district successfully ascended Mount Everest at around 7.50 am from Nepal side breaking his own record for most summits on the roof of the world.
KR Sherpa is also the third person to climb the Summit of Everest for 21 times along with the mountaineers Apa Sherpa and Phurba Tashi Sherpa, as both of them have since retired.
