New Delhi, February 22, 2020:

Pakistan yet again continues to be in the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) Grey List, with the inter-governmental body warning Islamabad of severe action in June if it fails to control the flow of money to terrorist groups.

According to reports, the FATF has clearly mentioned that if Pakistan fails to recover a complete action plan within 4 months of time, it could lead to cause effect on its businesses.

Furthermore, it has also been noted that Pakistan directed to only a few of the 27 tasks given to it in curbing fund flow to terror groups such as the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and the Hizbul Mujahideen, which have been a serious cause for a series of attacks in India.

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan’s continuation in the ‘Grey List’ will make it difficult for Islamabad to get financial aid from international financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank and Asian Development Bank, thereby leading to cause problems and worsening of its economy.
