New Delhi, November 20, 2019:

Two US army soldiers were killed after a helicopter crash in Afghanistan on Wednesday, said reports.

According to the U.S. forces in Afghanistan, preliminary reports do not indicate it was caused by enemy fire. No other details were provided by the forces.

On the other hand, the Taliban claimed it had shot the aircraft down in the Charkh district of the eastern province of Logar. They added that all on board were killed.

However, a spokesman for the Afghan Defense Ministry rejected the claim by the Taliban.

Reportedly, nineteen U.S. service members have died in Afghanistan in combat-related incidents in 2019.

Nearly, 13,000 U.S. troops are still deloyed in the country, as well as thousands of European forces participating in the NATO-led Resolute Support mission.

U.S. Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, announced that the U.S. troops who are already in Afghanistan for last 18 years will remain there for few more years.
