Washington, June 8, 2019:

Believe it or not, for US president Donald Trump, the moon which is also Earth’s natural satellite, is a part of the planet Mars, which is roughly 33.9 million miles from Earth!

Trump during the late hours last night tweeted, “For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon - We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!”

The controversial President's tweet then went viral which led to many jokes, memes and sarcasm on Twitter. Although the President is well-known for his online gaffes (anybody still remember covfefe?), the 72-year-old US President seems to have outdone himself in this latest tweet in which he seems to claim that the Moon is actually a part of Mars.

Even NASA's administrator had to intervene and he tried to clear things up by tweeting on the issue.

Earlier in May, Trump had announced that the US would be going back to the moon, and then Mars. He Tweeted: "Under my Administration, we are restoring NASA to greatness and we are going back to the Moon, then Mars. I am updating my budget to include an additional $1.6 billion so that we can return to Space in a BIG WAY!"

Twitter trolled Trump unabashedly and they definitely did not hold back in poking fun at the President's expense.
