The world’s longest river cruise MV Ganga Vilas Ganga reached Goalpara in Assam on Saturday evening and anchored at Kachari Ghat. Earlier in the day, the river cruiser departed from the IWAI Dhubri terminal.
The tourists will visit the Sri Surya Pahar, a hill top site in Goalpara district famous for its terracotta and rock-cut sculpture depicting deities of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism on February 19. It is an Archeological Survey of India, ASI's protected site of National Importance.
MV Ganga Vilas, the world’s longest river cruise, has arrived in Assam on February 17 after completing its journey neighboring Bangladesh.
The foreigners batch of tourists spent the night at Ganga Vilas, which on February 18 evening reached Dhubri and today the foreigners visited Asarikandi village which is famous for its Terracotta artefacts in Gauripur.
