ASSEMBLY SECURITY STAFF ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH BOMB BLAST IN MANIPUR

Guwahati, November 19, 2018:

In connection with Friday’s Manipur Legislative Assembly complex bomb blast, one security staff of Manipur Legislative Assembly secretariat has been arrested by police.

The accused has been identified as ASI Y Deben Singh of Nambol Maibam Chingmang, Bishnupur district.

Deben admitted that he had frequently contacted with UNLF members about some work. He further disclosed that he had received Rs.1.13 lakh from Panthoibi, self styled major of United National Liberation Front (UNLF).

Meanwhile, Manipur's Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condemned the insident.
