BJP cancels all party programmes following Goa CM’s demise

Guwahati, March 18, 2019:

As a sign of condolence to the deceased Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday cancelled all official programmes of the party including a Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting.

BJP in its official statement said, “All official programmes of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting scheduled for Monday, have been cancelled following the demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.”

As a result of the cancellation of all the programmes including CEC meet, the final list of candidates for the coming LS polls for Assam and other States will not be announced. The list waited by all to be announced on Tuesday.

Condolence is also being arranged in the Assam BJP office to pay tribute to the Goa Chief Minister.
