Imphal (Manipur), Aug 18, 2018:

In what is considered as one of the biggest seizures in recent times, the Assam Rifles recovered 1.3 kg of brown sugar and 1,30,000 WY tablets worth approximately Rs 12 crore from L Youjang village near Moreh in Manipur on Friday.

Acting on a tip off about presence of the narcotics at a house at L Youjang village, Assam Rifles personnel launched a major search operation and located the house from where the substances were recovered.

House owner Thangminlen Haokip was, however, not present at the house at the time of recovery of drugs, sources said.
