IMPHAL: The Kuki-Chin-Mizo Youths Federation has lashed out at the Federation of Haomee for its alleged hate speech against the Kukis and urged the latter to refrain from spreading malice.
“We appeal to Haomees to use their time and skills in some good work and not waste it in hate speech or something which would cause ethnic enmity between different communities,” said the Kuki-Chin-Mizo Youths Federation.

It further said that the sole purpose of Haomees is to make imaginary stories of Kukis as refugees and stopping this process is what is needed immediately to maintain peace and harmony in the State.
“Kukis live in their ancestral lands from time immemorial and history is proof,” said the Kuki-Chin-Mizo Federation.
“Do they really believe that the spirit of the Kukis will be cowed down on being termed as refugees? Who do they think they are? Leading bodies of the Kukis even don't consider them as a legitimate organisation, and not even fit to respond their barking every now and then,” it added.
The Federation maintained that in Manipur, Kukis never fought for land which belongs to other communities but for their own land.
“The land in Churachandpur, Pherzawl, Kangpokpi, Chandel and Tengnoupal belong to the Kukis and nothing can change that,” claimed the group.
"Hate speech against the Kuki-Chin-Mizo people by absurd and eccentric organizations or individuals like the Haomees are nothing but just from the dirty minds of some miscreant Tangkhuls and some valley people only," it said, adding, "Most of the valley people know the truth about the real history of the Kukis and unrelenting hate speech against the Kukis will never serve anybody in a positive way."
