Manipur CM Inaugurates 200 Bedded COVID Care Centre

IMPHAL: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Wednesday inaugurated the integrated Ayush Hospital and COVID Care Center at Keirao in Imphal East.

The Chief Minister further informed that the COVID Care Centre is equipped with 200 beds and oxygen concentrators.

The Chief Minister said that this facility will enable the state government to reduce the load in other facilities.

To aid the state in combating COVID-19, Singh also inaugurated the PSA Oxygen Plant with a capacity of filling 45-50 D Type cylinders per day at Churachandpur.

Commenting on the inauguration, Singh said that this plant will be a significant addition to the state's existing production capacity.

Manipur, so far, has recorded a total of 45451 cases with 6785 active cases. The recoveries have reached up to 37946 and the death toll is 720.

The vaccination of 18+ age group will roll out from Monday in the state.
