MANIPUR: CORDON AND SEARCH OPERATION CONDUCTED BY POLICE IN IMPHAL

As a part of security measures taken up by the district police of Imphal East, Cordon and Search operation was conducted by a team of CDO-IE led by Inspector B. Lunthang Vaiphei OC- CDO IE under command of Robinsun Khamnam DSP CDO, and overall supervision of Addl SP Ops M. Kumarjit Singh in New Checkon crossing to tribal market for one hour. A total of 255 persons were identified.

The team picked up seven persons who failed to showed ID proof and handed over to Porompat Police Station for further verification.

Another team of city police from Imphal West district also conducted Cordon and Search operation at Ngari galli and Masajid road and Nagamapal Phousabam leirak. About 200 persons were verified however no arrest was made during the operation.
