Manipur: First helicopter service from Churachandpur to Aizawl kicks off today

The much anticipated helicopter service between Churachandpur in Manipur to Aizawl in Mizoram kicked off today, September 27. The initiative operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India's Helicopter Service scheme for the Northeastern states commenced operations on September 27, 2023, from the Imphal International Airport in Manipur.

The move is expected to greatly improve accessibility between Manipur and Mizoram, facilitating faster and more convenient travel between the two states.
