The third session of the State Government’s ‘Khungang Chatse – Go to Village’ mission will be held at various villages across the State on May 15. The noble initiative of the new State Government gives special focus to schemes for social benefit, health and education and identification of left out beneficiaries for inclusion in Government programmes of housing and pension etc. The ‘Go to Village’ mission, a brainchild of Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh, is specifically designed to reach out to the citizens at their doorsteps, explain Government programmes and its benefits to the people and ensure timely delivery of services to eligible beneficiaries, redress their problems and queries in a citizen-friendly manner and provide on the spot solutions, on the same day without delay wherever possible.To assist the villagers, officials of different Government Departments are deputed at the camps organised on every Tuesday at selected villages of all the 60 Assembly Constituencies. The mission will cover all the villages and urban or semi-urban localities one after another.Under the mission, the Government provides an array of services that include Aadhar service, animal vaccination and treatment, health check up, opening of bank account/PMJDY and other banking services, issuance of birth/death/marriage certificates, electoral rolls enrolment/correction, distribution of school supplies, distribution of seedlings and samplings/tree plantation, financial assistance to poor and needy widows, pension under IGNDP/IGNOAP/MOAP/IGNWP for old age, disabled, widows, assistance to farmers under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture Department, soil testing and issuance of soil Health Cards and advise by Agriculture Department/Horticulture Department/RKVY officials.
