MANIPUR: HEALTH MINISTER L. JAYANTAKUMAR SINGH URGED FOR DOCUMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Health Minister Shri L. Jayantakumar Singh has urged for proper documentary evidences and not just mere words regarding the land acquisition for the construction of Imphal East District Hospital.

Speaking to media today at his office at Old Secretariat, Minister said that it is unfortunate that some people are inflicting baseless information to the common people of Khundrakpam regarding the site for the construction of the District Hospital at Sagolmang creating an atmosphere for agitation.

Stating that some portion of land for the construction of the District Hospital at Sagolmang is still under dispute, Minister maintained that there has been irregularities found while checking the records of land patta at the Settlement Department.

The land registered in the name of Health Department in the year 2011 was found re registered in the name of some private individuals, which was again recently re-re registered in the name of Health Department. This creates a sense of misuse of power and law by the previous government. He also stated that the matter will be investigated through proper channel.

Minister also assured that he will help if the public of Khundrakpam wish to go to the concerned department to verify the fact of the land papers. He also asserted that the Government is always ready to take up necessary action for the upliftment of Health Sector in the state.
