Assam Rifles troops have arrested a Myanmar national for travelling with a fake Aadhaar Card in Manipur.
The individual, who has been identified as Zaylin Naing Abdullah, hails from Molpin in Myanmar's Mon state. He was travelling from Moreh along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The 43rd Battalion of Assam Rifles had laid an operation after receiving secret input and raided a vehicle plying along the border. Abdullah, aged 38, was arrested when it was established that he was a Rohingya and was travelling with a fake Aadhaar Card. An amount of Rs. 7.50 lakh was also recovered during the raid.

It was further reported that the driver of the vehicle, a certain Abjul Rehman hailing from Lilong in Thoubal district of Manipur, had made the forged Aadhar Card. Three other local agents, namely, Md Nasir Ahmed, Hanif Ahmed and Md Hafizuddin, who facilitated his movement to the border town, were also arrested.
All four have been handed over to Moreh Police Station for further interrogation.
