Suspected militants lobbed a grenade in front of the Manipur assembly in capital city Imphal. 2 CRPF personnel were injured in the blast, reports said.
The incident took place at around 5:15 pm in the Thangmeiband locality in the city. Two jawans who were patrolling the area were hit by splinters of the grenade blast hurled by militants, reports said.

It may be mentioned here that in an earlier attack, as many as five policemen and one civilian were severely injured after a bomb blast in Thangal Bazar area of Imphal in Manipur on Tuesday.
The blast occurred at around 9:30 am in the morning, when the market was abuzz with traffic and office goers.
