PREPAK-VC cadre arrested in Imphal

Imphal (Manipur), Aug 20, 2018:

On Sunday a tean of the 15 Assam Rifles and police commando arrested one active member of the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-VC (PREPAK-VC) from Pourabi Awang Leikai, Imphal.

According to Assam Rifles officials, the cadre namely Thangjam Basanta of Pourabi Awang Leikai joined PREPAK-VC through another member named Laishram Somendro Singh. Under Singh’s instructions, he recruited two individuals namely Nongthombam Kenedy Meitei and Thokchom Ningthem Meitei both of Pourabi Mayai Leikai.

Basanta was arrested at 1:15 pm and was handed over to Lamlai PS for further necessary legal action.
