Security tightened outside Imphal airport

The security outside Tulihal airport in Imphal has been beefed up in the aftermath of the publication of complete drat of National Register Citizens (NRC) in Assam.

The measure was taken by the state government following the apprehension that the illegal immigrants might try to enter Manipur through air route. A special team of Manipur Police has been deployed outside the airport to check every incoming passenger.
