In a chilling act of barbarity, armed miscreant groups ruthlessly desecrated the bodies of fallen Kuki-Zo volunteers and fired upon them multiple times.
The outbreak of fresh violence, fueled by the aggression of armed miscreats has allegedly spread to Kangpokpi District after their brutal assault on the Peljang Haikot Kuki-Zo villages in Tengnoupal District.

According to the Phailengmol Defense Committee, the tranquillity of Kamu Saichang, Bongjang and Monglham villages shattered at 8:30 am on Saturday morning as they were besieged from multiple fronts in a meticulously coordinated onslaught by the armed miscreants.
The Committee also said that the armed miscreants in cutting-edge bulletproof vehicles launched a devastating assault on the Kuki-Zo at Bongjang old village, triggering a fierce exchange of gunfire.
Another group of armed miscreants attack Monglham near Karong sparking intense gunfights across multiple fronts.
Brandishing sophisticated weapons including the sniper, the armed miscreants were sighted manoeuvring through the hills, evidently gearing up for another impactful assault.
Meanwhile, the Committee on Tribal Unity, Sadar Hills Kangpokpi called for an emergency meeting following Phailengmol region's incident.
