Sangma said that it is not just about health, as a 'walking Meghalaya' will help curb CO2 emissions, cut costs on a personal level, and reduce the traffic on the city streets. and urged people to walk to their places of work at least once a week.
Conrad K Sangma further disclosed to Inside Northeast that his version of fitness is about being healthy -- physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Talking about the challenges faced by the youth due to the dawn of technology and oversimplification of lives, Sangma said that its not fair to compare the past with the present as things change, societies change, and lifestyles change.
"I don't want to be here judging how the youth should be, but in their busy lifestyle, in their busy way, with the way things are today, with technology available, with transportation available, this is exactly what the point is: that no matter what you have to do in life and how things are changing in life, a simple thing like ensuring you walk once in a while, do exercise once in a while, is something that we should do", he said.
Sangma said that the same applies to all, irrespective of age, or gender.
