Conrad Sangma-led Meghalaya Government rated ‘below average' by ADR Survey

Shillong, April 5, 2019:

In an interesting revelation, a report published by the Association for Democratic Reforms has pointed out that the Conrad Sangma-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) that has performed poorly on all 10 priorities of voters.

The report states that the NPP Government led by Sangma has performed “poorly and underwhelmingly” on all governmental issues such as education, agriculture and law and order.

The Meghalaya Survey Report, 2018, has pointed out that the issues of the people have “largely been neglected” by the Meghalaya Government. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and RA Asterisc Computing & Data Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (RAAC) conducted the survey across the country between October 2018 and December 2018.

The survey, released on Wednesday, found that agriculture subsidy for seeds and fertilizers, availability of water for agriculture, and higher price realization for farm products were the top three priorities for voters. The performance of the Conrad Sangma government was rated below average in all three areas.
