SHILLONG: A Garo man with a bullet-ridden body was found on the Bangladesh side of the International border on Tuesday.

According to reports, the bullet ridden body of the Indian national has been identified as Thedian G Momin (46) from Rasnagre village in South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya.

Sources reported that three Bangladesh nationals had allegedly abducted Momin on December 28 from the bordering area with the help of Border Guards of Bangladesh (BGB).

After dragging Momin into Bangladesh, troops of 39 Bn BGB Meghalaya shot him repeatedly and left the bullet ridden body approximately 15 metres inside the Bangladesh on Halughat border of Mymensingh early Tuesday, sources said.

The victim had no past criminal records in the past.
