SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today chaired a consultative meeting with the District Councils of Khasi & Jaintia Hills and traditional heads to seek their opinion and suggestions on the Meghalaya-Assam border issue.

CM Sangma also conducted a meeting with NGOs was conducted to seek their views and suggestions.

The CM stated that border issue with Assam is not a single party subject but is a state mandate we must shoulder together.

Informing the same, he wrote, “The border issue with Assam is not a single party subject but is a state mandate we must shoulder together. Thank the political parties who joined us in our consultative meeting. We look forward to jointly resolve the border issue between Meghalaya & Assam.”
