SHILLONG: At a time when most of the states in India are facing an oxygen shortage, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma today visited the Byrnihat Oxygen Private Limited in Ri Bhoi district to review its preparation to deal with the crisis in the ongoing second wave of the pandemic.

CM Sangma also received the second dose of the COVID vaccine today at Soksanang LP School in Lower Balsanang of Tura.

After taking the vaccine, the chief minister appealed all those eligible to take their vaccination at the nearest at the local centre.

“Took my second dose of the #CovidVaccine at Soksanang LP School, Lower Balsanang, #Tura which is one of the Session Sites. Tura is almost completed with its Phase II vaccination drive. I appeal to those eligible to take their vaccine shot in centers near them,” the chief minister tweeted.
