The National People Party (NPP) candidate from the Tura Constituency Agatha Sangma on Friday has filed her nomination to contest the ensuing Lok Sabha elections which be held in Meghalaya on April 11.
Agatha Sangma filed her nomination at the West Garo Hills District Administration office and her nomination was received by the DC of the West Garo Hills District, Ram Singh.

According to reports, the Congress contender for the Tura Constituency, former CM Mukul Sangma, will file his nomination on April 25, the last date for filing nominations.
Mukul Sangma has reiterated time and again that the fight of the Congress is not against the NPP, but rather, against the BJP and its constituents in the Northeast.
