Journalist Association boycotts Mizoram Chief Electoral Officer

Guwahati. November 5, 2018:
The Mizoram Journalists Association (MJA) of Monday boycotted Mizoram Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) S B Shashank‘s press conference showing commonality to the Central Young Mizo Association’s (CYMA) Save Mizoram Movement.
According to MJA the present political scenario of the State has to be tuned with the CYMA initiatives.
Reportedly, the members of the MJA made repeated attempts to interview S B Shashank in the recent times but he did not respond which the MJA felt disrespected. So the MJA sees no reason to attend the press conference.
The MJA stated that no formal invitation was sent by his CEO regarding the press conference. They came to know about it through a whatsapp group message that too without any official signatory.
