Mizoram continues to reel under COVID-19 crisis; 30 new cases detected

AIZAWL: At least 30 fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Mizoram over the past 24 hours taking the tally to 4,685.

Of the new cases, 25 were reported from state capital Aizawl, three from Kolasib and two from Serchhip district.

Twenty-two of the new patients have travel histories.

Mizoram now has 204 active cases, while 4,469 people have recovered from the disease.

On the other hand, the dreaded virus has claimed 12 lives in the state.

The state has so far conducted 2,66,380 COVID-19 tests, including 1,890 during the past 24 hours.

A total of 84,673 people have received COVID-19 vaccine so far.
