The 50-year-old Mizoram pastor who earlier this week was tested positive for the coronavirus or COVID-19, is reportedly "doing well", sources have confirmed.
An Inside Northeast source said, "He is continuing his fight against the infection. Furthermore, everyone was relieved when his family members' test reports came back and they have all tested negative."
On Wednesday, the State of Mizoram recorded Northeast India’s second positive case of the virus, who, according to our sources, was a 50-year-old pastor who recently returned from Amsterdam in Holland with his family. The swab was tested at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). An Inside Northeast source said that the man who has been detected COVID-19 positive is a pastor.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old from Manipur, the first patient in the Northeast, is also said to be recovering. She was also seen clicking pictures with the doctors who are treating her earlier today.
Meanwhile, the international death toll continues to skyrocket. At the time of filing this report, 650,567 people have been infected by the virus and 30,299 patients have died.
