At least 10 persons have been tested positive for the3 COVID-19 in Mizoram taking the state’s total to 34 on June 7th, 2020.
Appealing the people to adhere to the social distancing, Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga tweeted:
Of the 33 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 33 are active and 1 has been cured and discharged so far. The state has reported no COVID-19 death yet.
On June 4th, 2020, three persons have been tested positive for the COVID-19 in Mizoram taking the total to 17 while on June 2nd, 2020, Mizoram reported 12 COVID-19 over two months after the first case was reported. The cases were confirmed at the Zoram Medical College in the state.

Of the 12 confirmed cases, 11 were from Kolasib quarantine centre, who were shifted immediately to the COVID-19 designated hospital – ZMC, while one was an inpatient of ZMC. 10 of them had returned from Delhi while two from Kolkata.
On March 24th, 2020, Mizoram reported its first COVID-19 positive case after a pastor (50), who had returned from the Netherlands, was found infected with SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease. He was the second COVID-19 patient from the north-east, after a student (23) from Manipur, who had returned from the United Kingdom on the previous day, was found to have contracted the viral infection.
As on June 7th, 2020, the state has conducted 1,991 tests and screening of 1,05,721 people. A total of 9,229 people have been quarantined at different quarantine centers and 8,674 have been home quarantined in Mizoram so far.

Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura. Assam has 2473 confirmed cases followed by 747 in Tripura.

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. On June 7th, the country currently has 2,46,628 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,20,406 active cases with 1,19,293 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 6929.
Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 2 thousand deaths. It has recorded 82968 corona cases with 37390 cured, 2969 deaths, and 42609 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 27654 cases with 10664 cured, 761 deaths, and 16229 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 30152 positive cases with 16395 cured, 251 deaths 13506 active cases. Gujarat with 19592 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 13316 have been cured, 1219 deaths, and 5057 active cases.
