Mizoram extends guidelines till June 12; check the rules here

AIZAWL: Mizoram on Friday extended the state-wide lockdown till 4:00 am on June 21. The current lockdown will be over by June 14.

The state registered 178 new COVID-19 cases on Friday. The state also reported 1 death taking the death toll to 62. Mizoram has 3501 active cases and has recorded 14321 cases so far. The recovered people from covid-19 on Friday stands at 11358.

Outside municipal area, offices, banks, and other departments will be allowed to operate, but Covid Appropriate Behaviour must be strictly followed.

All places of worship, educational institutions, public parks, picnic spots, movie theatres, gymnasiums, community halls, restaurants, shopping complexes, football, futsal ground, and malls will continue to remain closes.

In municipal areas, shops dealing with construction materials, computer and mobile sales and services, and electronics will be opened on Friday between 5 am and 5 pm.

Shops dealing with students' books, motor spare parts, workshop/puncture works will be opened on Tuesdays between 5 am and 5 pm.

Vegetable markets and meat shops will be opened on Friday between 5 am and 5 pm.

Shops dealing with essential commodities in the AMC area will be allowed to open every morning till 8:00 am.

Shops dealing with agricultural seeds and equipment will be allowed to open everyday between 5 am and 5 pm.

Intra-state or inter-village movement has been strictly prohibited except under medical emergencies and exceptional cases.

Among the districts, the state capital Aizawl has the highest number of active cases at 2,776 followed by Lunglei (219) and Kolasib (179).
