MIZORAM GOVERNMENT TO SIGN PEACE AGREEMENT WITH HMAR REBELS ON EASTER MONDAY

Mizoram is ready to sign a peace agreement with Hmar rebels group, the Hmar Peoples Convention Democrats (HPCD) on Easter Monday, in a hope to end the longstanding but rather quiet conflict. The development follows the pre-agreement already made unilaterally at the talks between the rebel leaders and the Mizoram government team headed by Lalrinmawia Ralte, political adviser to the chief minister of Mizoram.
