After the coronovirus scare in Assam on Sunday, another Northeast Indian state, Mizoram, is reportedly on edge fearing an outbreak of the virus. Amid the scare over the deadly virus, the Mizoram Government has now reached out to the Mizo student community in China.
Mizoram's Deputy Secretary of the State Health Department, Lalngura Tlau has said that the Government is in constant touch with the students and a WhatsApp group has been created for "speedy information" for the students. Meanwhile, a Mizo student has already arrived in India and will land in Mizoram's Lenglui airport soon.
An official informed that two individuals, who had been to China in early-January, were put under house quarantine by the authorities amid the outbreak of the virus China, where more than 300 people have reportedly died.

Tlau said that both of the quarantined persons have tested "negative" for the virus and were put under close watch as a "precautionary measure" and further informed that the Chief Medical Officers in all 11 districts are ready to deal with the virus.

Meanwhile, the Mizoram Government has also set up a screening counter at the Lengpui airport. A state-level task force has also been set up to prevent an outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the State. Moreover, the Government has also reached out to Mizo students
