Mizoram woman killed in suicide bombing in open market by ex-husband

AIZAWL: A woman identified as Lalthianghlimi, 61, from Chanmari, Lunglei District was murdered with the help of a suicide bomb by her ex-husband in an open market area near Hmar People's Convention (HPC) Office at around 12:15 this afternoon.

As per the sources, the ex-husband Rohmingliana visited the wife where she was selling vegetables in the market.

After the ex-husband was asking the ex-wife to prepare a locally made cigarette, he was pretending that he is not well and he is leaning towards the ex-wife and grabbing her and blasting the suicide bomb.

The wife died on the spot, the husband is critically injured.

An investigation is on further details awaited.
