AIZAWL: A total of 430 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours in Mizoram.
103 jail inmates are among the total new positive cases.
All the infected prisoners are inmates aged between 22-65.
Besides this, two staff of the Central Jail, Aizawl has also found infected with the virus.
According to the official, the new patients also include 73 minors, six security employees.
With the new cases, the state's cumulative number of the infection has risen up to 18409.

Among the new patients, nine patients had a travel history, while the rest 421 new infections
were detected after contract tracing.
The new cases were reported among 3,974 samples tested, with a single-day positivity rate of 10.82 %.
Mizoram currently has 4424 active COVID-19 cases, while 85 people infected with the virus have died so far.
The recovery rate for COVID patients in the state is now 75.50 percent, while the fatality rate is 0.46 %.
Moreover, a total of 13900 patients have been discharged and recovered from the disease.
