Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in poll-bound state of Mizoram on October 16 to campaign for party candidates for the November 7 Assembly elections. Upon reaching the state, the Congress leader took out a padayatra from Chanmari to Raj Bhawan, flanked by his supporters.
Gandhi arrived in Aizawl aboard a helicopter from Tripura's capital Agartala, according to sources.
After completing the padayatra, Gandhi will be addressing a rally near the governor's house and later interact with students in the evening.
On October 17, the Congress leader will be meeting party leaders and address a press conference in Aizawl. Later he will also visit Lunglei town in the southern part of the state and hold a public meet.
