Nagaland has reported 7 new COVID-19 cases taking the total to 25 on May 29, 2020. All 7 cases were detected in a close interval of time. Out of the 7 patients, 2 Dimapur, 4 Kohima, and 1 from Tuensang.
The recent cases are mostly from returnees outside the state.

The novel coronavirus has infected over 1.66 lakh people and claimed over 4706 lives as on May 29, 2020, morning, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There are 89987 active cases with 71105 cases discharged and cured.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross a thousand deaths. It has recorded 59546 corona cases with 18616 cured and 1982 deaths. The western state is followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat has corona 15562 cases with 8003 cured and 960 deaths. Tamil Nadu has registered 19372 cases with 10548 cured and 145 deaths. The National Capital with 16281 COVID-19 cases has crossed the 10 thousand mark on May 25th, 2020. So far, 7495 have been cured in Delhi with 316 deaths.
India has already surpassed China’s official figure of 82,993 confirmed coronavirus cases. India is the 10th most cases in the world. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1.76 m.
