NAGALAND: ALL BANK EMPLOYEES AND OFFICERS GOES FOR 48HRS STRIKE

All banks employees and officers called for 48 hrs strike protest demonstration including over 10 lakh bank employees in the government and private sectors across the country starting today, outside SBI Kohima, Nagaland.

They demanded for wage revision which has been due since November 2017. The strike call was in the wake of the government's casual approach to wage revision for bank employees and officers, Indian Banks Association meagre offer of just 2% hike in wage bill towards wage increase and delay in resolving charter of demands.

Employees and officers today chanted slogans demanding for expeditious and early wage revision settlement including all officers up to Scale VII and to give adequate increase in salary and improvement in other service conditions.
