Kohima, July 24, 2019:

The People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) Government in Nagaland on Tuesday announced its reshuffled set of cabinet ministers and advisors -- an exercise that was being predicted for a long time.

According to an order issued on Tuesday, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio would continue to take charge of Finance; Personnel and Administrative Reforms; and any other portfolio not allotted.

The Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton was allotted the portfolio of Roads and Bridges, to go along with Home department.

In turn, the former Roads and Bridges Minister Tongpang Ozukum was assigned as the Minister of Housing and Mechanical.

Cabinet Minister Metsubo Jamir’s charge was reversed: from Urban to Rural Development. Dr. Neikiesalie Kire was named as the Advisor to Urban Development and Municipal Affairs

The president of Nagaland BJP unit, Temjen Imna Along—besides his incumbent Higher and Technical Education charge—was named as the minister of Tribal Affairs too.

(Former) Deputy Speaker Zhaleo Rio has been named as Advisor to Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs. His replacement was, however, not listed in the order.
