KOHIMA: Taking strong offense to Nagaland Governor R N Ravi's intent to crack down on government official making "seditious" statements on social media, the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) said that the Naga secessionist movement is a "collective assertion of the Naga people to live as a people free from any illegal occupational forces."

Accusing Nagaland Governor R N Ravi of attempting to "silence the voices of the Naga people", the NSF says that the Naga people will not be "cowered down by attempts to stifle our voices and belittle our legitimate rights."

Slamming Ravi for his "divisive" rhetoric, Nagaland's apex student body slammed him for "singling out" Dr. Inato Zhimomi. "This speaks of the Governor's intent to create fear psychosis amongst the state government employees by sending out a message that he has his eyes and ears planted deep with within the Naga society in order to achieve his desired goal of dividing the Naga people," the NSF added in its communique.
