Nagaland reports 1 COVID-19 death, 31 fresh cases of infection in 24 hours

KOHIMA: Nagaland reported one more death due to the COVID-19 infection in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 643.

The fresh fatality was recorded in Dimapur.

The state's tally of the infection rose up to 30,990 on Wednesday with 31 more people tested positive for the infection during the day.

Of the fresh cases, Dimapur district registered the highest number of new cases at 19, followed by Mokokchung (5) three each in Kohima and Phek districts.

The state currently has 459 active cases of the infection, while 28,913 people have been recovered from the disease so far, including 35 in the last 24 hours.

The recovery rate stood at 93.29 percent.

A total of 960 patients have migrated to other states thus far.
