Kohima (Nagaland), Aug 25, 2018:

Nagaland RMSA Teachers’ Association (NRMSATA) 2016 batch on Friday announced an indefinite boycott of classes from 27th August.

NRMSATA 2016 president Sao Venuh and general secretary Haisoliabe Ndang, in a statement, also asked all its members to strictly adhere to the association’s directives, failing which they would be dealt with severely.

The association also asked teachers on study leave to inform their substitutes to follow its directives, besides being mentally and physically prepared for intensified stir in the coming days.

Meanwhile, NRMSATA 2016 has convened a meeting of its central executives and district conveners on 28th August at 10:30 am at TU building here.

The association explained that it was forced to call the indefinite boycott of classes as the State government had allegedly failed to respond to the clarification it had sought on the office memorandum on reduction of RMSA teachers’ salary.

It alleged that, instead of responding to its demand, the government has gone ahead to intimidate RMSA teachers of 2016 batch with the order.
