Nagaland Governor P B Acharya has ordered the suspension of Inspector General of Police (CID) Richard Yimto with immediate effect for his alleged involvement in illegal narcotics trade.

According to the order signed by Nagaland Home Commissioner Abhishek Singh, a report from Nagaland Director General of Police was received on October 22 regarding seizure of 6.9 kg of brown sugar by narcotic cell at Khuzama check gate on August 3 this year and about the alleged involvement of Richard in the matter.
