In a late night development, the BJP (central) Considering the possibility of serious ramifications on the BJP and NPF alliance Government in Manipur if the BJP-NPF alliance here in Nagaland is broken. Further envisaging a more stable alliance with NPF. The BJP centre has invited Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang for further negotiation on possible alliance. CM TR Zeliang along with other elected NPF MLAs calls Nagaland Governor and claim to form the next Government.

Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang along with other elected NPF MLAs called on the Governor of Nagaland today at Raj Bhavan, Kohima and claimed to form the next Government as NPF has emerged as the single largest party at the recently conducted General Elections to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The Chief Minister also said that he enjoyed the support of other elected members. PRO to Governor, in a release said Acharya has instructed TR Zeliang to prove his majority by bringing the letter of support from the supporting MLAs. The Governor said that once he is satisfied that a party has the majority, he will act according to the Constitution of India.

It may be mentioned that earlier in the day, the NDPP alliance had staked claim to form the government in Nagaland.
