Kohima, October 23, 2019:

Stating that their nation's history, God given identity, and the fate of their people is endangered by "forces within and without", the Council has stated that it is the bounden duty of every Church and the people of Nagalim to fervently pray for God's intervention, protection, and deliverance.

The council has requested the people to pray "for protection of the identity, history, and political rights of the Nagas, to let Naga people submit to the will of God, for Indian leaders to let them respect and recognise the God given flag and constitution of Nagalim, for chief negotiator Th Muivah and the talk team to let God grant them good health, sound mind and wisdom and for positive outcome of the formal talk to be held on October 24 between NSCN and GoI."

Meanwhile, it has come to light that the Centre and the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (I-M) are likely to meet yet again in national capital New Delhi on October 24 for another round of negotiations, ahead of the ‘final solution’ to the Naga issue on October 31.

The Centre had signed a framework agreement with the NSCN (IM) on August 3, 2015 to find a solution to the Naga issue, but Interlocutor RN Ravi has accused the organization of adopting a “procrastinating attitude to delay the settlement, raising the contentious symbolic issues of separate Naga national flag and constitution”.
