NSCN-IM delegations heads to Delhi for talks with GoI officials

KOHIMA: A 40-member of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) delegation has left for Delhi today to hold talks with Government of India officials.

Among those NSCN (I-M)  members who left for Delhi were ato kilonser and chief negotiator Th. Muivah, chairman Q. Tuccu, and vice chairman Tongmeth Wangnao, as well as members of the collective leadership. Muivah and Tongmeth took a chartered flight, while the other members, led by Tuccu, took an Indigo flight.

As previously reported, the Working Committee of the NNPGs, led by N. Kitovi Zhimomi, and the NSCN (K-Niki), led by its president Niki Sumi, have been in Delhi since last week.

During the week, the Naga Political Groups will meet separately with officials from the Government of India.

A delegation from the Core Committee of the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issues, led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, is also expected in Delhi.

According to sources, the newly formed United Democratic Alliance (UDA) all-party government in Nagaland's one-point agenda was to secure a political solution, while also speculating that the Centre was keen to conclude all issues and negotiations with a solution by the end of 2021.
