Dimapur, June 2, 2019:

The Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isaak-Muivah) (NSCN-IM) has announced tax exemptions to local business start-ups in the 'interest' of Naga entrepreneurs.

A release issued on Saturday informed that the Killo Kilonser (Home Minister) of GPRN (Government of the People’s Republic of Nagaland) in an order has extended the current one-year tax holiday accorded to Naga entrepreneurs at the initial year of establishment to two years with immediate effect.

The release cautioned Naga people of not leasing the names of their business to non-Nagas, otherwise the trade license would be cancelled with immediate effect.

Agriculture products circulated within Nagaland have also been made tax free except for those exporting outside for commercial purpose.

The order also stated that no ministry/department/agency of GPRN shall utilize the services of non-Nagas in collection of tax.

Defaulters shall be made strictly accountable, it added. In the event of any grievances on the above given orders, traders have been asked to contact the Ministry of Kilo Affairs, NSCN (IM) on the following mobile number- 6376428789.
