NSCN (IM) Leader Th Muivah Returns to Nagaland

Dimapur, Novermber 26, 2019:

The General Secretary of Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim, Isaak-Muivah, or (NSCN-IM), Thuingaleng Muivah, is all set to return to Dimapur in Nagaland from New Delhi today, to spend the festive season in his home state.

The 85-year-old leader of the outfit's arrival was announced by the NSCN (IM) through a press statement.

Meanwhile, sources from the NNPGs Working Committee (WC) informed that the WC Convener, N Kitovi Zhimomi will also return to Nagaland for the festive season. Zhimomi and Coordinator Alezo Venuh are scheduled to sit down with the Government of India’s Interlocutor and Nagaland Governor RN Ravi in a day or two for an informal session, the sources said after which they will head to Nagaland.

It was further informed that the NNPGs WC is “seriously considering” meeting with the United Naga Council (UNC), while also holding consultations with the Naga civil society in general.

Sources from the two groups meanwhile informed that both the NSCN (IM) and the NNPGs WC would also hold talks with the Government of India during their stay in Nagaland.
